Dear YCWTS readers,
Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 is about to come out and I couldn’t be happier. It is my favourite of the Below Deck franchises, first and foremost because of Captain Glenn. I know there are Captain Lee diehards out there, but as a fellow Canadian, I am Captain Glenn all the way.
That being said, Below Deck stresses me out. I too have worked in food service, delivering overpriced steak and lobster to rich people, and this show can be triggering. I have realized that when it comes to Below Deck, it’s best for me to watch it when the season is over. I can’t handle having to wait a week for the next episode to come out. I need to binge it. I need to enter into the show with the knowledge that everyone and everything is going to be okay, in the next episode, which I can watch immediately.
In non-reality TV news, last month I participated in the Great Substack Prompt Celebration hosted by Fictionistas and my flash piece (which wasn’t about reality TV at all) was selected as one of the favourites! Check out my piece and and the other spotlit pieces here 👇
And now, on to Below Deck. I tried out a different format this time and was really enjoying playing around with it. Hope you like it too.
